Throughout the year Abhyuday organizes lectures, workshops, panel,conferences,blood donation camps and collaborated events with eminent social organizations. We aspire to promote social consciousness among the youth and concentrate their power towards a better and sustainable society.
This World Environment Day, Abhyuday IIT Bombay spread awareness by making paper bags with the help of 40+ volunteers who joined us and 200+ children from 7 NGOs. We made 350+ paper bags which we distributed among 15 vendors and motivated them to use these bags rather than plastic bags.
It is high time for us to re-think about what we buy, what we use and how it has an impact on us and our environment.
Each Independence Day, we all stand together to present our gratitude to soldiers and people whose efforts made us see this day. The first lecture was conducted by Dr. Niranjan Pendharkar, accompanied by a pantomime show, titled Dining with the Monkey. The world has a plastic pollution problem and it’s snowballing—but so is public awareness and action. Abhyuday organized a panel discussion to deliberate over the journey of plastic ban; how it was formulated, why it was deemed necessarily and what the future holds for the use of plastic. This discussion was operated by our moderator Manisha Singhal and the panelists Dr Sangita Hasnale, Mr Sarthak Gaurav , Mr Anil Agarwal and Mr Pradeep Tripathi.
