In order to fulfil these dreams, Abhyuday, IIT Bombay brings together the brightest from colleges, the best from corporate, the learnt from academia, the experienced from NGOs and create a platform where young minds are nurtured to create solutions that bring about grass root level changes.
Art is for all, everywhere and anywhere. We, at Abhyuday, IIT Bombay believe that everyone is an artist at heart. To all those curious artists out there, Abhyuday, IIT Bombay announces "Kala Manch-online art competition". A platform that gives artists chance to portray social issues through their work.
The Battle of Words

Adhikaar is the inter-college debate competition organised by Abhyuday, the social club of IIT Bombay. As the theme of the 5th edition of Abhyuday's Social festival on 12th-13th January, 2019 is 'Engage, Encourage, Empower' the motions would be based on topics such as violation of human rights, women harassment, public policy and governance, international affairs, education, etc. To provide an intellectual, elite youth the platform to express their thoughts on social issues and help them develop a civic and political identity, Abhyuday, IIT Bombay invites you to step up and enter the heat of the argument.
The competition in which the teams come up with some brilliant ways to make useful products out of waste materials, in order to lessen the amount of pollutants around us. Conducted in 2017, it was a huge success with over 60 plus teams participating in the same. And one of the examples of the products made was the Vacuum cleaner, which costed as low as 151 INR.
Organised in 2016, having Kevin Adithya was the quiz master, who conducted the session, to test and improve people’s knowledge of India. The topics included were Indian Art, Indian Democracy, Economy, Geography, Personalities in Music and Dance, Science & Technology, Languages & Literature, etc.
A competition based on critical thinking and awareness, was organised in 2018. It was a question-paper format test, based on the year’s theme, Human Rights. Consisting of two rounds, the second and final round was held in Abhyuday’s Annual Social Festival.
